In this special New Year episode Sal and Bob travel to Arlington, Virginia to eat and crack wise at Ray’s The Steaks (say that fast and you’ll get it). The One Hit Wonder is Lou Bega’s “Mambo Number 5” and the boys talk about Lou getting in trouble for stealing the melody from a 1940’s hit. Bob’s Whine List contribution is people clogging up his gym with their New Year’s resolutions.

Sal and Bob welcome their guest, movie critic and standup comic, Corey Hall (@CoreyHallComic). Corey livens up the show with his spot-on pop culture references, and his takes on who will take home the Golden Globe Awards. It’s just a bunch of silliness, as usual, with Sal and Bob.

The Christmas Episode - Hammond, Indiana

Sal and Bob travel to Hammond, Indiana and eat at Lung Wah Chinese restaurant to recreate their memories of A Christmas Story. Our special guest is good friend and fellow standup comedian Matt McClowry. The One Hit Wonder is the white trash classic Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer.

The fellas yap about how lazy they are getting Christmas presents, and kibitz about A Christmas Story trivia. Sal’s Whine List subject is the pain in the ass factor of people using their phones for coupons and boarding passes. Bob whines about people who mispronounce barbed wire, Alzheimer’s disease, etcetera and other stuff, then both guys talk about the difficulty in saying “camaraderie.”

Comedian Matt McClowry (@MattMcClowry) then joins the guys and they have a funny and interesting talk about Matt’s career, his beginnings, his success in comedy festivals, and how to get free stuff from hotels by carrying your own syringes. Sal tells a story about how he and his ex almost missed being in The Price Is Right audience because Sal was stuck at a blackjack table. Bob appreciates Matt’s unique jokes and asks Matt about how being on the spectrum has influenced his comedy style. Matt discusses his appreciation of Jerry Seinfeld and his work ethic. Sal and Bob close with some interesting stats about their growing listenership and thank Matt for being a great guest.

Golden Steer Steakhouse - Las Vegas, Nevada

Sal and Bob travel to Las Vegas to visit their shrine, The Golden Steer, in the guys’ opinion the best steakhouse in Vegas. They talk about getting their heads handed to them at the blackjack tables, and why Bally’s and Caesar’s entertainment sucks. Lots of Vegas-y stuff including the awesome menu and history at the Golden Steer.

Their very special guest is their friend and hilarious comedian Dave Landau (@LandauDave), who is co-host of The Anthony Cumia Show, has appeared on Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, and is a regular at Brad Garrett’s in Las Vegas. They talk to Dave about his funny new movie, The King of Detroit, local Detroit legend Bill Bonds.

The guys talk to Dave about comedians apologizing for saying off color things and whether they should. They all agree that Hollywood sucks and has no standing. The boys then talk about Dave’s role on The Anthony Cumia Show, how Dave brings a new element to the funny, and how all of them are amazed at Anthony’s impressions. Dave relates how some listeners get his politics wrong because of the show’s slant. The guys talk gambling and how Dave likes to play television themed slots and lurk around the casino. They wrap things up by thanking their waiter Carl Dillahay and the Golden Steer Manager, Lynn Gimian. What a fun time and special episode with comedian Dave Landau!

Sal and Bob visit their friend Mike Green’s new comedy club in Waterford, One Night Stan’s, on Black Friday. The One Hit Wonder is Don’t You Forget About Me from 1985.

The guys yap about The Breakfast Club, and casting trivia about that movie, and how Al Pacino almost didn’t play Michael Corleone. Bob was appearing at One Night Stan’s the night this episode was recorded.

The guys interview Mike Green and his assistant Katie Hunter and crack wise about comedy stories from Mike, including how the new club took shape. Mike recounts some highlights of his long and successful career. Road stories and nonsense abound as we talk to Katie about her role at the club, and round out a very funny episode.

Bob informs everyone that the show is worldwide. Bob yaps about his love of cheese curds, and Sal jokes about the real names of girls he knew in high school.

The boys then welcome Alex Jones and President Donald J. Trump to the show. (Actually Bob’s cousins Eric and Mike Jackman) @jackmanradio and laugh like idiots talking about how Trump actually called out Mike’s impressions of him, and Trump’s obsession with Rosie O’Donnell.

The One Hit Wonder is I Fought the Law, which is a great choice since their guest is retired police officer, David Quinlivin, who is dubbed Q The Cop. The boys yap about their weekend gigs and complain about casinos. Sal jokes about his Italian heritage, and Officer Quinlivin tells the guys about the realities of police work, how to get out of a ticket, and gross encounters with lawbreakers.

It’s a special extended Thanksgiving episode, with friend and guest Derek Richards, a very funny comedian who just published his first book called Whiskey, Cancer and Bad Decisions.

Sal and Bob go to legendary Peter Luger Steak House in Brooklyn, New York. They joke about the cash only policy of the restaurant and wonder what happens if you try using a credit card. The guys kibitz about Adam Sandler’s Thanksgiving song and Bob is intrigued by Sal’s cousin Rocco, from whom Sal is buying a car on this trip.

They complain as usual about how bad the Detroit Lions suck, then introduce Derek for a lively interview about the comedy biz, overcoming cancer, and some funny stories about the road, and dining in Vegas. Derek winds it up with a hilarious story about medicating his ex mother in law’s coffee to get some peace.

Bob reminisces about his boxing days and how special it is to be in Muhammad Ali’s hometown, and Sal talks about touring Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby, and Bob tries to get Sal to drink a Mint Julep.
